Attention; under Section 194O, all e-commerce operators are mandated to deduct TDS on participants' gross sale amounts. The sale of goods or provision of services from a participant facilitated by an online marketplace falls under this criteria.
E-Commerce operators should deduct a specific amount as TDS at the time of credit of the amount of sale of goods, services, or both to the account of an e-commerce participant or at the time of making payment to an e-Commerce participant by any other mode, whichever is earlier.
Keeping this in mind, here’s a quick overview of how Thrive will be adhering to the same:
- Thrive shall deduct the TDS from all transactions starting from 1st October, 2022.
- The TDS credit shall be visible in your respective 26AS once we file the TDS return at the end of each quarter.
- The details of the same per transaction will also be mentioned in your Order Summary Report in column AG under header “TDS Deducted”.
